Another reaction paper for our film viewing. :)
Our planet is continually changing, causing habitats to be distorted. And the strongest forces that make this loss very hasty are human beings. Upon seeing the video during our film viewing, it made me realize that nearly every region of the earth has been affected by human activities. On our side, it is difficult for an individual to recognize the effects that we did. Especially to those who do not care about the environment. But looking on the bright side, many organizations in conserving the habitats are fast increasing. In fact there are campaigns that are widely spread over the internet. Also, there were several nature reserves built to accommodate those species that doesn’t have their natural habitats anymore.
Through the video that I have seen, my heart was touched because of the few people that are spending their time in worrying and taking good care of the endangered ones. Others are risking their lives just to help these poor creatures. And through this, it made me think that we too can get involved in saving animals and can also help in conserving their habitats.
One of the most important ways to help threatened animals is to protect their habitats permanently in national parks, nature reserves and zoos. We can visit zoos and talk to the rangers to find out what are the best ways to help protect them and then later on apply these things. We can also tell our friends to participate and join some organizations in saving the threatened animals. Nowadays, these species really need our help to prevent extinction.
While writing this reaction paper, I then remembered the time when our family caught a migratory bird, a baby King Fisher. It happened when one of our helpers at home found this baby bird that fell down from one of our Mahogany trees. Its wings range about one and a half meter. We took care of it for a few weeks, but because its mother is worriedly flying over the blue sky, crying and screaming, we let the baby bird flew away right after he learned how to fly. Afterwards, I realized nothing can beat the kind of feeling of how a simple thing can make your heart smile.
